Making the choice
It’s important to consider the following when deciding on your preferred method of decorating your garments and caps.
Firstly, whether garments are for staff for continual use, one off events or giveaways.
Embroidery in our opinion is always the favoured, value for money option. This gives an excellent finish and is recommended on most garments, however on some outer garments, please call for advice.
Screenprinting tends to be used for large back logos or higher volumes, as artworks for logos tend to cost more to set up. This type of printing does not produce a good finish on fleece garments.
Screenprinting is not an option on padded garments i.e. outdoor coats and jackets.
Transfer printing is another low cost option, the benefit of this type of branding is that there is no artwork/set-up charges. Similar to the type of finish found with the numbers on the back of football shirts, the transfer can be applied front or back, large or small. This type of branding is particularly cost effective on complicated, multi-coloured logos, where smaller volumes are required. This type of badging can be used on t-shirts, polos shirts, sweatshirts, outer garments and some caps. Again this type of finish is not recommended for fleeces.
